What will you be doing:
  • Perform design, research, and development activities, ensuring project completion on time, within budget, and to agreed standards.
  • Plan design and R&D activities according to contract requirements and monitor them with the Engineering Manager to meet deadlines and budget.
  • Engage in regular design reviews to ensure on-time delivery, budget adherence, and quality standards.
  • Understand and balance quality, cost, and delivery implications to find optimal technical solutions.
  • Ensure designs meet customer specifications and keep internal teams informed of production requirements and design releases.
  • Create, maintain and update BOM with estimated costs and communicate changes to relevant teams.


What are we looking for:
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or qualified by experience.
  • Engineering design and analytical skills e.g. DFMEA
  • 3D modelling expertise in SolidWorks
  • Experience with material selection e.g. composite, plastics, ferrous, non-ferrous, and more.
  • Ability to work and contribute to a team environment.
  • Excellent communicator with strong written, verbal communication style.
  • Creative problem-solving approach
