Position: Account Director - Facilities Management

Location: Flexible within the UK (National Role)

Salary: £85,000 per annum, plus company car and bonus structure

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Join a global leader in facilities management as an Account Director, overseeing key accounts valued at £20 million. This is a pivotal role where you will lead a team responsible for the delivery of both hard and soft services across national sites.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Direct and oversee the delivery of facilities management services to ensure client satisfaction and contract compliance.
  • Financial Management: Manage a substantial budget and drive financial performance across the accounts.
  • Team Management: Lead a team of 6 direct reports and indirectly manage a workforce of approximately 150, ensuring effective performance management and development.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as the main point of contact for strategic discussions and issue resolution.
  • Operational Excellence: Ensure the smooth delivery of both hard (technical services) and soft (cleaning, catering, etc.) services, adhering to health and safety regulations and best practices.
  • Risk Management: Implement and maintain robust health and safety practices, ideally possessing IOSH or NEBOSH certification.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive innovation and operational efficiencies within the accounts to achieve service excellence and profitability.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Proven experience in a senior management role within facilities management, ideally overseeing accounts of similar scale and complexity.
  • Technical Background: A background in technical services is preferred, with knowledge of building services or engineering.
  • Qualifications: IOSH or NEBOSH certification is advantageous.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership abilities with experience in managing large teams and driving performance.
  • Client Management: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels.
  • Strategic Vision: Ability to develop and execute strategic plans that align with client objectives and company goals.
