Our client renowned for its excellence and innovation in delivering complex and challenging projects, is seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their exceptional team.

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor you will play a pivotal role in managing all costs relating to building and civil engineering projects.

From the initial calculations to the final figures, your expertise will ensure that our projects are completed within budget and to the highest standards. Reporting to the Commercial Director, you'll be part of an established team of Quantity Surveyors

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities.
  • Undertake cost analysis for repair and maintenance project work.
  • Perform risk, value management, and cost control.
  • Advise on procurement strategy.
  • Identify, analyze, and develop responses to commercial risks.
  • Prepare and analyze costings for tenders.
  • Allocate work to subcontractors.
  • Provide advice on contractual claims.
  • Value completed work and arrange payments.
  • Maintain awareness of the different building contracts in current use.
  • Understand the implications of health and safety regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor in the civils industry.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods and materials.
  • NEC and JCT Contract knowledge
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and tools.
  • Exceptional negotiation and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Relevant degree or professional qualification (e.g., RICS).
