Production Test Technician + £35-37k + permanenent
A position exists for an experienced Production Test Technician who will interface directly with all departments; Sales, Engineering, Manufacturing and quality. Key requirements are excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a detailed understanding of electronics, electrical and electronic test equipment together with good all round computer skills.
You will be expected to carry out a wide range of duties related to production test and diagnostic requirements incuding but not limited to the following.
The duties of the position are:
- Fault finding and repair of production equipment and returned products
- Design and build custom test fixtures for new product development and routine manufacture. Liaising with the the engineering team.
- Routine maintenance of production and testing equipment
- Support where required in test set up of manufactured products
- Support with investigation/ repair of returned products may be required.
- Regular statistical analysis of returned product data and creation of reports and associated improvement plans
- Design and build (in house or sub contracted) of custom test fixtures.
- Review and scrutiny of test specifications, provision of feedback to design engineers
- Attendance at new product design reviews.
- To perfo/ Purchasing any other duties in the supply chain/ Production Control/ Purchasing area which may be requested by the Head of the Department.

Must have detailed knowledge of the following:
- Multi-meters
- Power suppliers
- HV Testers
- Oscilloscopes
Qualifications and experience:
- NVQ or BTEC in Electronics
- A demonstrable background in electronics testing and diagnostics
