Electrical Estimator - Up to £60k + 10% Bonus - Dartford, Kent and Onsite

About the Company:

The company are an established M&E Contractor specialising in commercial & industrial design & build projects. Predominately, our work is in the film and TV production sector where we are fortunate enough to work with high profile clients including Warner Bros Studios, Pinewood Studios, etc.

We are seeking a confident, reliable, detail-oriented individual to join our team. The position will be a hands-on role with a responsibility to produce Electrical tenders for both pre-designed and design & build projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in estimating, and the ability to analyse project requirements to provide accurate cost estimations.

The candidate’s roles & responsibilities will include:

The Role requires the candidate to:

• Meet with clients to understand the “Employers Requirements”.
• Produce Scope of Works.
• Produce full tender submissions with internal support.
• Produce bill of quantities, schedules of work and contractor’s proposal documents to support quotations & tender proposals.
• Produce bill of materials & call off sheets.
• Cable calculations using Amtech and/or liaise with our external designers.
• Review issued specifications, drawings, and other relevant documents, as well as tender clarifications and updates for the respective clients.
• Ensure that all tender submissions are comprehensively reviewed and qualify correctly.
• Attend project site tender meetings, site reviews, and post-tender meetings as required.
• Provide support and guidance to onsite engineers as and when needed.
• Maintain strict compliance to quality work, and safety rules.

Essential criteria’s:

• Circa. 5 years commercial & industrial estimating experience.
• 18th edition qualified.
• Full UK Driving licence and own vehicle

Preferable criteria’s:

• Minimum of 10 years Electrical experience (C&G 2357 - NVQ Level 3)
• Design, Erection & Verification (C&G 2396) (Additional salary available)
• Experienced in using Amtech Pro Design.
• Basic knowledge of using AutoCAD.
