Labourer - Empty Homes

£24,398.77 per annum plus van for business use & commuting

Full Time (37 hours per week)

Northallerton, North Yorkshire

We have an opportunity for a Labourer to join our Empty Homes - Property Services team to play a vital part in the refurbishment of empty homes to deliver of high quality homes that our customers can be proud of.  

The Role 

You'll be part of a team who are responsible for transforming our homes to an excellent condition ready for letting to our customers. You will carry out general labouring, clearing, cleaning, and semi-skilled maintenance repairs along with undertaking landscape maintenance duties to properties/ estates, and other works to maintain the safety and appearance of communal areas.  

You'll have: 

•  Experience of labouring in a similar role 
• Good understanding of Health and Safety 
• Great customer service skills 
• The ability to follow/identify maintenance and improvement works, from work instructions and technical drawings and plans.  
• The ability to undertake basic maintenance work across a number of separate trades 
• The ability to climb ladders, work at heights and physically undertake the duties 
• Basic numeracy & literacy skills 
• Basic IT competence and skills 
• A full clean driving licence 
•  Previous basic carpentry, plumbing or building experience along with experience of landscape maintenance / gardening would be beneficial although not essential.
