Are you a time served Mechanical Engineer with experience in welding and a proven track record in fabrication work? if so we have a opportunity for you to join the team here at Levenseat.

The position is a dayshift role working Mon - Fri maintaining a wide range of recycling equipment, conveyors, shredders, balers and vibration equipment and repairing mechanical breakdowns are key responsibilties.

Working on equipment PPM's from the CMMS will be part of the job role ensuring equipment is maintained and in a safe working order. This role will also play a key part in driving the sites continuous improvement plan, through modifications and upgrades to equipment.

The position requires a flexible individual who will bring a can do attitude and is willing to work overtime as required by the business.

  • To ensure compliance with the fundamentals of H&S
  • To carry out any repairs and maintenance work required within the facility
  • To ensure that the PUWER (Provision and Use of Work Equipment) Regulations 1998 are adhered to
  • Focus on safe efficient reliable maintenance and operation of equipment to ensure the production of quality products
  • Make the engineering supervisor/manager aware of any maintenance issues or faults in a timely and appropriate manner
  • Ensure good housekeeping in and around maintained equipment is to a high standard.
  • To identify with engineering manager any possible process/plant improvements and implement the agreed improvements from design to commissioning.
  • Lead continuous improvement efforts using lean manufacturing techniques
  • Ability to solve problems via advanced technical knowledge, root cause analysis and theory testing

Essential Skills

  • Applicants will be timeserved or qualified to HNC level in a Mechanical discipline.
  • Applicants must have experience in welding (Mig/MMA) with a proven background in fabrication work.
