Our client is a civil engineering firm specialising in infrastructure and environmental projects. We are seeking an experienced Civil Foreman with a background in flood alleviation projects.
Foreman Job Description:
You will oversee the day-to-day operations a major infrastructure project. This role involves managing a team of workers, ensuring project timelines and quality standards are met, and maintaining a safe work environment.
Foreman Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of direct and subcontractor labour
- Ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, and safety regulations
- Monitor project progress and report to internal and external stakeholders
- Assist in the planning of the project and allocation of resources.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality standards are upheld.
- Maintain accurate records of daily activities, labour, and materials used.
- Use online systems to accurately report on site activities.
- Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Foreman in civil engineering
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and equipment.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to safety and quality standards.
Education and Experience:
- CSCS Gold minimum
- SSSTS minimum
- First Aid at Work (Preferable)
