As a Manufacturing Engineering Team Leader, your main responsibilities include:
- Develop and execute department strategies aligned with business goals
- Manage and prioritise workloads for multiple departments
- Regularly assess and address the team’s training and development requirements
- Conduct regular 1-2-1 meetings to ensure team objectives are being met
- Oversee shop floor support, capital investments, new product launches, and cost-saving initiatives
- Optimise production processes
- Collaborate with the Design and Project teams to ensure successful product launches
- Resolve issues to meet delivery targets
- Lead cost reduction initiatives and report progress regularly
- Manage budgets
- Assist with efficiency reporting and accurate product costs
- Maintain 5S organisation standards
- Gather and prepare data for monthly presentations
- Comply with health and safety regulations
Qualifications and Experience Required:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing and 2+ years of leadership experience
- Degree or equivalent in engineering or a related field
- Knowledge and experience with TPM
- Proficiency in Lean Manufacturing techniques, 8D, 5S, and Cell Design
- Hands-on experience with CNC and moulding machines
- Experience with MRP systems and SAP
- Expertise in quality assurance
- Data analysis and presenting skills
- Familiarity with continuous improvement methods
- Proven experience in managing large projects
- Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification (or equivalent)
