OVERVIEW: ACCOUNTANCY TUTOR

Are you experienced in accounts and finance and ready for a change in direction? Do you enjoy learning and also sharing your knowledge with others?

We are currently seeking a finance and accountancy professional to deliver and coordinate the successful completion of accountancy and finance qualifications for a well-established training provider. You will hold your Level 3 (or above) accountancy qualification and have a passion for people development. If you hold a teaching qualification and assessor award, that's great! If not, all qualifications and training are supplied by the employer. The successful candidate will have a genuine desire to move into a training role and enjoy working in a learning environment.

THE ROLE OF THE ACCOUNTANCY TUTOR

Based at a training centre in Bath, you will be supporting apprentices to develop their portfolios at Level 3 and 4 and preparing them for their End Point Assessment (EPA). Also supporting learners in the review process so that they can develop the skills required to perform to a high standard in the workplace and keep on track with their training plan.

Continuously evaluate and improve the quality of learning and teaching within your work utilising and engaging with development and observation programmes.

Providing feedback on work submitted by students

Providing reporting and feedback to client managers as required

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE: ACCOUNTANCY TUTOR

• Solid background working in accounts and finance
• L3 or above qualification in finance (e.g., AAT / CIMA / ACCA)
• Effective communication (both written and verbal)
• A passion for sharing knowledge and helping others
• Strong organisational, problem solving and time management skills
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and other commonly used office packages
• Assessor Qualification- A1, TAQA, CAVA or equivalent (desirable)
• Teaching qualification (desirable)
