Would you like to join an international defence company to support their clients by improving the capability, reliability and availability of their most critical assets? Due to continued investment, this global business is currently looking for a Senior CSA Engineer to join their existing team in Plymouth (mostly remote working with occasional travel to site) on a 52 week contract.

The Role

As a Senior CSA (Civil, Structural, and Architectural) Engineer, you will support the Design Manager in the delivery of project scope. Your responsibilities will include but not limited to the following:

  • Support ensuring that staff and contractors are familiar with the hazards and risks associated with the work undertaken by the delegated engineering team through effective management and communication of the Risk Assessment.
  • Oversee and manage concrete and steel remedial works, ensuring adherence to project specifications and industry standards.
  • Implement and maintain QA/QC protocols throughout project lifecycle.
  • Provide expertise in the design of concrete and steel structures.

You

To succeed within the role of a Senior CSA Engineer, you'll have experience in a similar position and have the following skills:

  • Chartered Engineer, registered with Engineering Council or working towards Chartered status with a degree in an appropriate engineering discipline
  • Design and substantiation of heavy civil engineering and building structures to relevant seismic codes for satisfying Nuclear Safety Functions; particular experience in dock structures preferred
  • Proven experience in concrete and steel remedial works
  • Strong background in QA/QC processes.

Please note that due to security nature of this role, offers of employment will be dependent on obtaining SC security clearance. The vetting process is delivered by United Kingdom Security Vetting (UKSV) and will require candidates to provide proof of residency in the UK of 5 years or longer.
