Commercial Analyst is required by fast growing and highly successful organisation.

Purpose of the Role

They are seeking a diligent and analytical-minded Commercial Analyst to join their team. This role is pivotal in providing actionable insights and financial analysis to drive strategic decision-making within our organization. As a Commercial Analyst, you will play a key role in evaluating business performance, identifying opportunities for growth, and supporting commercial initiatives.

Main responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough financial analysis to support commercial decision-making, including pricing strategies, profitability analysis, and cost projections.
  • Prepare and present comprehensive reports and presentations to senior management,
  • highlighting key trends, opportunities, and risks.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, marketing, and finance teams to develop and implement business strategies aimed at maximizing revenue and profitability.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify potential threats and opportunities for the business.
  • Develop financial models and forecasts, and perform scenario analysis to support strategic planning and budgeting processes.
  • Analyze customer and product profitability, and provide insights to optimize resource allocation and improve overall business performance.
  • Assist in the preparation of business cases for new initiatives, capital expenditures, and other strategic projects.
  • Support ad-hoc analysis and reporting requests from stakeholders across the organization.

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in financial analysis, preferably within a commercial or business analysis role.
  • Strong proficiency in financial modeling and advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to interpret complex data and communicate findings effectively to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
  • Experience with ERP systems (eg Dynamics) and BI tools (eg, Tableau, Powerquery BI, Power) is advantageous.
  • Proactive attitude with a strong desire to drive continuous improvement and contribute to business growth.
