FINANCIAL CONTROLLER - LETTINGS

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finance Controller to join our dynamic financial lettings team in Birmingham City Centre. As a Finance Controller, you will play a critical role in managing the financial operations of our estate agency, ensuring the smooth flow of rental income, and maintaining accurate financial records. Your expertise will contribute to the financial health and success of our company.

As a Financial Controller your responsibilities include but not limited to:

- Manage received rental income and ensure timely transfer of funds to landlords' accounts.

- Oversee the reconciliation of rental payments and address any discrepancies promptly.

- Efficiently use software packages such as Jupix and Xero for financial management and reporting.

- Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and company policies.

- Prepare and submit financial reports as required by senior management and external stakeholders.

- Assist with audits and provide necessary documentation and explanations.

- Provide financial insights and support to the lettings team to aid in decision-making.

As the Financial Controller you will have:

- Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA) is highly desirable.

- Proven experience as a Finance Controller or in a similar financial management role, preferably within the real estate or lettings industry.

- Proficiency in financial management software, specifically Jupix and Xero.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify financial discrepancies and propose effective solutions.

- Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy in financial records and reports.

- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact effectively with team members, clients, and senior management.

- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
