The School and Role

A secondary school in the East Riding of Yorkshire seek to appoint a Senior Cover Supervisor from September 2024. This exciting role will give the successful candiidate the opportunity to play a vital role within the school community. Duties encompass both educating and administration functions equally. The successful Senior Cover Supervisor will be responsible for logging staff absence, organising staff cover and covering lessons when required. This role will suit an experienced Cover Supervisor looking to further their responsibilities and career; or an expereienced and talented administrator that has the qualities to be a successful Cover Supervisor. As a Cover Supervisor you will not be expected to a subject specialist in the classes you cover, your responsibility will be to deliver the pre-set lesson and ensure pupils are kept on task. 

This a full time role working 37 hours per week Monday to Friday during school term time. The successful candidate will work via Vision for Education for a period of one term before transitioning onto contract with the school.

This secondary school is based in a coastal town in the East Of Yorkshire. Graded as 'Good' by Ofsted, the school forms benefits from excellent leadership and plays a vital part within the local community.

Requirements

The desired Senior Cover Supervisor will have;

- Aministration experience

- An interest in working in education and with young people

- Degree or A-level Education

- the ability to build great relationships with young people, colleagues and outside agencies

- a resilient, adaptable and motivated personalilty

- An ability to work as part of a team
