The Role:

As an SEN PMLD Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in the development and well-being of students with profound and multiple learning difficulties. Working in a supportive and inclusive environment, you will help create a safe and nurturing space where students can learn and grow. Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing one-on-one or small group support to students with PMLD.
• Assisting with personal care, mobility, and other daily activities.
• Implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and adapting teaching materials.
• Promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Collaborating with the classroom teacher, therapists, and other professionals.
• Monitoring and recording student progress and behaviour.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you should have:

• Experience working in an educational setting, preferably with students who have PMLD.
• A genuine passion for supporting and nurturing children with special educational needs.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, empathy, and adaptability.
• Relevant qualifications, such as a Teaching Assistant qualification or relevant healthcare training, is a plus but not mandatory.
• DBS on the update service or willing to get one.
