An exciting Quality Inspector position has become available in Tamworth at a precision engineering company.
Job Title: Quality Inspector
Shift: Monday to Thursday start between 6:30-8:00am and finish between 3:00-4:30pm and Friday start 6:30 – 8:00am and finish between 12-1:30pm.
Rate: Paying between £17 - £18 per hour with an potential rise of £20 per hour
The Job
- Identify non-conforming components.
- Completion of inspection reports to a UKAS standard.
- Deliver accurate information to enable the best decision making.
- Carry out daily calibration to ensure the confidence of the measurements.
- Ensure that all data provided is 100% reliable and accurate.
- Communicate with shop floor personnel to ensure confidence in the manufacturing process.
- Communicate with customers to instil confidence in our inspection reports.
- Working along side the inspection team you will help to review, create and improve on current processes to eliminate faults and ensure the repeatability and maximise capabilities.
Requirements
- Good understanding of engineering and metrology principles.
- Able to read and understand engineering drawings.
- HNC (Preferred but not required)
- Experience using CMM’s with MCOSMOS (MCOSMOS preferred but not required)
- At least 5 years’ experience within an engineering environment.
- Have an apprenticeship at NVQ Level 3 within an engineering field.
- Competent computer skills and good knowledge of Excel.
- Experience using micrometres & callipers.
- Experience within a UKAS environment (Preferred but not required).
