Overview:

The Race Engineer will lead the team responsible for the preparation, build, and delivery of our high-performance electric vehicles for testing, marketing and costumer events. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive engineering and team management, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of quality and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the preparation, build, and delivery of cars to ensure they meet the required specifications for all relevant test or marketing events.
• Develop and manage comprehensive build plans for each vehicle.
• Ensure a consistently high quality of assembly by creating and maintaining standardized internal assembly procedures and build checklists.
• Collaborate closely with the Engineering Design and Quality teams to implement these procedures effectively.
• Oversee the component life reporting process for assemblies and car builds to ensure all components are tracked and managed efficiently.
• Arrange and oversee post-event strip-down inspections, ensuring detailed reporting and analysis of any issues identified.
• Lead and manage a team of technicians, focusing on their personal development and growth within the department.
• Provide guidance, training, and performance evaluations to support the team's success.
• Coordinate with test venues to book appropriate testing facilities, including generating risk assessments and other required paperwork.
• Arrange transport for the cars and equipment required for test events.
• Organize transport and accommodation for test staff.
• Work closely with the Test Engineer and stand in for them running test events when required.
