We are working with a main contractor who are recruiting a Senior Engineer to join the start of a local major project on the M27. The contractor is renowned for their culture, excellence in delivery and development of people. 

They are recruiting a Senior Engineer to lead an enthusiastic engineering team and really take ownership of the engineering aspects of this job, bridging the team of the day-to-day engineering and long-term programme. 

The main scope of works will consist of a large excavation, new traffic signalled junctions, construction of a dual carriageway, balancing ponds and an impressive 9500tn reinforced concrete box (underpass through the motorway) which will be slid into place post demolition of a section of the motorway. 

The project will run until early 2026 and upon completion you will have the opportunity to join another major project in Hampshire with underpasses, bridges and major roads, circa £200m.

Key duties:

• Creating quality assurance documentation
• Reviewing drawings and value engineering where possible
• Managing RFI’s and technical queries
• Producing Inspection Test Plans
• Supporting the development of junior engineers
