Due to the volume of the roles we are supporting, we can accommodate complete flexibility and have long-term, short-term and day-to-day roles available.

The ideal candidate will need to be committed to understanding and catering to the needs of all pupils that they work with. 

 

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with ALN pupils or vulnerable adults on a 1:1 or group basis

  • Possess a good understanding of physical or sensory needs 

  • Provide support in a manner which facilitates the pupils' cognitive development, by removing barriers to learning

  • Assisting with care and be well-versed to individual development plans

  • Modelling positive behaviour and dealing with disruption according to school behaviour policy for ALN pupils

  • Promote pupil inclusion throughout the school

  • Promote independence

  • Have a valid, enhanced DBS on the update service (or be willing to get one)

  • Be registered (or willing to register) with the Education Workforce Council (EWC)
