Position: Quantity Surveyor

Location: Catterick

Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 per annum

Role Overview:

As an Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in our team, working closely with our clients and internal departments to accurately estimate the costs of projects. Your expertise will ensure that our projects are priced competitively while maintaining profitability for the company.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze project specifications and drawings to determine materials, labor, and other costs
• Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and production teams to gather necessary information for accurate estimates
• Prepare detailed cost estimates and proposals for clients
• Review and analyze subcontractor quotes
• Participate in project kick-off meetings to ensure a clear understanding of project scope and requirements
• Track project costs and provide regular updates to project managers

Requirements:

• Previous experience as an Estimator, preferably in the steelworks industry
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and processes
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications
• Excellent analytical and mathematical skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
