Retirement Housing Co Ordinator

BDS are currently recruiting for a Retirement Housing Co-Ordinator to be based in the lovely village of Abergavenny
The post will be based at a retirement complex for older adults who live independently. We are looking for someone with a friendly and happy demeanour to be the first point of contact for the residents of the service.
Hours; 10-12 per week over 2 or 3 days which can be flexible.
Duration – 3-4 months initially with the option to apply on a permanent basis in the Autumn.
Salary- £14.26ph PAYE plus holiday pay
Main duties
- Speaking with the residents daily
- Signposting information on other services, in and around the area.
- Checking the property for any repairs and reporting these as required,
- Involving the residents in activities within the service
- Liaising with contractors
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in housing, support of older adults or within a front facing customer position. You will have good PC skills, be approachable and have good organisation skills. Full training will be provided and there will be a buddy manager to work with from a neighbouring scheme.
An enhanced DBS will be required.
