Our client, a highly regarded secondary school located in Hastings, is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic English Teacher to join their thriving English department. This position will commence in September and offers a unique chance to contribute to the academic success and personal development of students across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.

The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Delivering engaging and rigorous English instruction to students of varying abilities.
• Designing and implementing innovative lesson plans that adhere to the national curriculum and school's educational philosophy.
• Assessing student learning through formative and summative assessments, providing timely and constructive feedback.
• Collaborating with fellow English teachers to share best practices and continuously improve the department's effectiveness.
• Maintaining a strong understanding of current pedagogical trends and research in English language arts education.

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and attributes:

• A Bachelor's degree in English or a related field.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification recognized in the UK.
• Demonstrated experience teaching English at the secondary level, preferably across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
• A passion for literature and language, with the ability to instill a love of learning in students.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
