This maintenance operative job is a rare LOCAL role in the Kings Lynn area with limited travel and very easy free parking at the sites.

The role will cover Kings Lynn area and you should only ever travel hour – hour and a half max from your home.

Each site has ample parking too, making it ideal for someone who is fed up of sitting in traffic or fighting for parking spaces.

The role will involve looking after a variety of sites including commercial, distribution centres, hospitality, rail, educational vets and casinos.

On site you will be responsible for carrying out all statutory building checks on commercial systems including fire alarm checks, emergency lighting, and legionella checks. This role will also be responsible for reactive maintenance.

You will be working for a well-established team and the workload is manageable and more 'relaxed' than some other regional or national contracts.

You will be on call no less than one week in 6, but the calls are trained well so you won’t be getting called out unnecessarily.

You will ideally be from a maintenance background and understand the FM industry. To get towards the top end of the salary you will have a trade specific qualification. There could also be additional training opportunities to gain further qualifications. So, this will suit someone that wants to better their career.

The basic is up to £31,000 but the role does come with overtime opportunities so there is scope to earn more money on top. You will also get a call out fee of £100. The van is a brand-new van, with cruise control, air con and heating steering wheel, so decent spec.
