Links Recruitment Group present a great opportunity for a Maintenance Supervisor to join a large and well-established company that continue to grow and have opportunities for training and progression. Within this role, you will be responsible for assisting with the maintenance and day to day running of all fixed plant machinery to best practice standards to ensure production is maintained at the highest possible level.

Main Duties

• Front-line maintenance contractor safety management
• Risk assessment of maintenance jobs by staff / contractors
• Ensure safety and housekeeping in workshop and warehouses
• Complete an agreed target number of safety conversations per month
• Perform meetings and updates with direct reports
• Drive improvement in Health and Safety
• Liaise and maintain regular contact with Maintenance Manager
• Provide holiday / sickness / absence cover for Maintenance Manager
• Complete performance reviews for direct reports
• Support and develop maintenance team members
• Creates and administers the weekly plan (mechanical / electrical, corrective / preventive)
• Maintains warehouses and booking in/out of parts
• Coordinate suppliers, to include raising POs for parts and services
• Ensures availability of parts / critical spares
• Ability to perform hands-on mechanical maintenance if required
• Perform such other duties as the Company may from time to time reasonably require
• Comply with all Company policies related to Code of Conduct, Environmental, Health and Safety and Community

The Person

• Experience in a similar role
• Strong understanding of Mechanical and Electrical Maintenance
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy
• Management/Supervisor or Team Leader experience
• Proven track record of managing and developing a small to medium team
• Relevant Mechanical Qualifications (desirable)
• Ability to work as part of multi-disciplined team and also on own initiative
• Experience in medium to heavy industry
• Knowledge of health and safety

Shift Pattern – Monday – Friday (days & afternoons – 6am-2pm & 2pm-10pm)

Salary: £14.59ph - £30,350 + Shift Allowance

Role: Permanent
