Injection Mould Tool Setter 

Salary £32,500

Mitre Plastics is a well-established injection moulding company based in Stockton-on-Tees which manufactures and supplies high-quality injection moulded product to a range of customers.

Being family-owned & run for over 50 years, the company values long-term relationships and has a stable and committed team. Due to internal promotion, a great opportunity exists for an experienced injection mould tool setter to join the company.

We are currently seeking a skilled Tool Setter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up and maintaining various tools used in the manufacturing process.

As an injection mould tool setter, you will be responsible for production tool changes in a safe and efficient manner. You will set machines to established process settings, ensure production cell setup conforms to approved standard, and submit parts for quality approval. You will demonstrate an ability to troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during production runs.

The role is permanent, 3-shift rotation:

6:00am – 2:00pm

2:00pm – 10:00pm

10:00pm – 6:00am

Role Responsibilities

  • Working in a safe and considerate manner at all times
  • Setup of moulding machines, tools, and ancillary equipment to defined standards
  • Work with colleagues to ensure production output remains in specification
  • Use knowledge of injection moulding processes and machinery to identify and rectify problems
  • Record any faults or defects with equipment in a timely manner
  • Contribute to shift handovers; communicate effectively

Role Requirements

  • Past experience within a similar role
  • Good knowledge of injection moulding processes and machinery
  • Experience of working with a range of moulding machines (both size and manufacturer)
  • Ability to set up and adjust injection moulding machines and ancillary equipment
  • Formal training and relevant certification in injection mould setting is beneficial
  • Overhead Crane License is required for role – will be provided if not held or expired
  • Ability to communicate effectively and clearly
