Cedar are supporting a Public Sector client who are looking to hire a Category Manager for their ICT category. This is a permanent role offering a salary of £45,500 up to £53,000 plus a 10% Bonus and competitive benefits package. This role will operate on a hybrid working basis, primarily working from home, with on-site work required for key meetings at one of the clients offices (please note they have various office locations dotted around England).

Reporting into the Category Lead, the Category Manager will be responsible for managing the development and delivery of commercial and sourcing strategies within the ICT category. The successful candidate will be responsible for the requirements relating to both Hardware and Software, ensuring the delivery of compliant solutions in line with Public Sector Regulations.

Candidates applying MUST HAVE:

  • Experience working a similar role in the UK Public Sector marketplace i.e. a job in Procurement, Category, Commercial, Contract or Sourcing
  • Experience procuring for Goods or Services in the ICT category is required
  • Experience using Public Sector Frameworks such as G-Cloud, DOS, Tech Services is required
  • Understanding of Public Sector Procurement regulations
  • CIPS qualified or working towards CIPS would be advantageous
