Adolescents Service Social Worker

Cambridgeshire County Council are looking to expand their current team with a dedicated Adolescents Service Social Worker looking for an opportunity to join a well-structured and organised team. As well as joining a supportive team structure our client also offers opportunities for learning and development and flexible ways of working. This Adolescents Service Social Worker role will be for an initial 3-6 months with potential for extension subject to internal circumstance and your performance.

Adolescents Service Social Worker responsibilities include:

• Provide a high quality and effective social work service to respond to the needs of adolescent young people open to statutory services, and their families, predominantly under S17 Child in Need however caseload will also feature a small number of Child Protection/Child in Care cases.
• Assess need, plan and deliver focused intervention to safeguard young people in high-risk circumstances and promote positive outcomes, with a particular focus on young people at risk of exploitation and/or with mental ill health.
• Provide professional leadership for complex case arrangements, often joint working cases with child practitioners in the team and providing social work input and oversight.

Experience preferred / Minimum Requirements:

• Post qualifying experience of working as an Adolescents Service Social Worker team within the UK.
• HCPC Registration
• 1 year post qualifying experience within UK
• Enhanced DBS/CRB (we can obtain for you)
• Eligibility to work in the UK
