A great opportunity to join a leading designer and manufacturer of power and monitoring systems.

This is newly created role to support the business, utilising your experience with engineering and mechanics to design, analyse and improve mechanical systems.
 
You will be responsible for:

• Working from briefs to develop a design solution to then progress through to manufacturing drawings.
• Using Inventor and Fusion software to design custom steel enclosures, consisting of both sheet metal and fabricated parts.
• Designing control panels for customer projects.
• Working with suppliers to ensure designs are able to be manufactured and cost efficient.
• Creating parts on MRP system, ready for ordering.
• Managing internal drawing system.

You will need the following experience:

• A minimum of HND/HNC or degree in a relevant discipline (Mechanical Engineering/Design Engineering)
• Proven experience within Mechanical Design (ideally with sheet metal and fabricated parts)
• Good working experience of CAD software (Inventor/Fusion preferred)
• Ability to work to project plans
• Good understanding of engineering materials and the manufacturing techniques around this.

As there are multiple opportunities within the business, we are open to speaking to people who are either at a recent graduate level (grad + 1) or a more experienced Mechanical Design Engineer.
