We are looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a thriving and growing rail team in Warwickshire. Our client, a well-established company, specialises in mechanical and electrical (M&E) works, civil engineering (Civils), and signalling and telecommunications (S&T) within the rail sector. This position is available as either a long-term contract or a permanent role, ideal for professionals looking to advance their commercial careers.

The dynamic Senior Quantity Surveyor role will require you to manage and develop client relationships in a fast paced, busy environment whilst always maintaining the highest standards. Experience in rail is essential for this role, alongside the ability to lead a team.

Responsibilities as a Senior Quantity Surveyor:

  • Responsibility for numerous projects
  • Management of staff to include development and advice
  • Supplying reports to senior management as required
  • Monitoring compliance
  • Recording and logging correspondence
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with clients
  • Attending relevant meetings
  • Carrying out periodic reviews on projects
  • Preparing and submitting valuations and applications for payment
  • Identifying any risks and opportunities
  • Assisting, monitoring and overseeing the production of final accounts
  • Other duties as expected with this kind of role

Skills and Experience

  • Experience in a similar commercial role in rail is essential
  • Qualifications suitable to the role are required along with workplace experience, be it HND, HNC or Degree.
