Peace Recruitment is currently looking for a freelance Setting Out Engineer for Groundworks Contractor in Edinburgh to work on a large commercial project for 6 months. Up £30 per hour (CIS or LTD).  

Responsibilities:

• Setting out groundworks package
• Superivision of groundworkers 
• Checking drawings, plans and specifications to ensure they are accurate and up to date.
• Checking sub-contractors work 
• Liaising with project managers, site managers, and other stakeholders to ensure the project runs smoothly.
• Ensuring all works are carried out in accordance with Health and Safety regulations.
• Keeping accurate records of all site activities and producing reports as required.

Requirements:

• Must have valid CSCS card 
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
• Proficient in the use of surveying instruments such as total stations, GPS and levelling equipment.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with other stakeholders.
• Knowledge of Health and Safety regulations and best practices.
• A valid driving license and access to a vehicle.
