Head of ASB Enforcement

Responsibilities
- To ensure the development, implementation, monitoring and regular review of the Council’s ASB and Enforcement Strategies ensuring that they reflect best practice, are customer focused and maximise opportunities for partnership working and customer involvement.
- To provide a leadership role in inputting into wider local/regional (MOPAC, Community Safety Partnership) crime and enforcement strategies and plans.
- To be the lead officer for SLA /relationships with Homes for Haringey (HFH) , ensuring that services are provided in line with the SLA and represent best value for money.
- Provide clear strategic planning and acting as the Council’s principal advisor and “subject matter expert” for all services within the Enforcement portfolio to senior managers, elected members and local partners.
- To keep up to date on new legislation, service developments, best practice and benchmarking initiatives in all aspects of ASB, Noise and Environmental enforcement and embed learning into strategies, Policies and service design.
- To fully understand the priorities and demands of the whole service and take responsibility for planning and managing all resources to deliver an effective and efficient service.
Requirements
- Proven experience of developing and implementing strategic plans across a range of service areas.
- Experience working in housing associations or councils
- Practical experience of managing an extensive work programme involving multiple stakeholders and across complex organisations, allocating tasks,
directing resources and prioritising to achieve outcomes within fluid pressures. - Experience of managing staff and complex situations, using clear judgement to advise others to do the same
- Experience in ASB & Noise
Contract
- Initial 3 to 6 month ongoing contract
- PAYE via Umbrella
- Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm
