Main purpose of the role
We have a rare opportunity for a Head Of Architecture and Development to join us, based at our Doncaster head office with agile/hybrid working. Reporting into the IT Director, the successful candidate will work to understand the organisation’s ecosystem, interdependencies, and constraints, using this knowledge to shape a pragmatic and adaptable multi-year technology road map (covering applications, infrastructure, data, and technology) to shift to a position where technology is a source of strategic competitive advantage.
The Head of Architecture and Development will also influence and align the IT and Digital team and broader organisation around the roadmap, ensuring that it balances short term priorities with longer term objectives, is commercially sound, technically feasible and reflects Keepmoat’s operational risk appetite. They will ensure that the roadmap is implemented by putting in place appropriate formal mechanisms such as governance, accountabilities and objectives complemented with less formal methods such as influencing and visioning. They will lead the Development team to deliver effective systems design and configuration to achieve the roadmap.
Skills, knowledge & experience
We are looking for an experienced leader with a broad knowledge of architecture approaches who fits with our core values here at Keepmoat;
- Passionate and energetic with the ability to build relationships and bring strategic oversight to our data management, analysis, and insight activities.
- They will be collaborative with highly effective people skills, the ability to influence persuade and collaborate.
- Creative with experience of developing architectural approaches and evidencing their value to the business.
- Take a straightforward approach, with a high level of attention to detail, investigation, and analysis of problems with a methodical and disciplined.
Experience within the housebuilding/construction sectors and/or experience of modelling and graphical representation of architecture domains would be desirable.
