Account Manager

Shrewsbury, Shropshire

Permanent role

Monday – Friday (8 am – 5 pm)

Circa £28,000 - £40,000 depending on experience

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a stable and prestigious company based in Shrewsbury with a leading reputation in their field. They are now looking for an Account Manager to nurture and develop the company’s relationship with regional clients. You will be working in a busy, enthusiastic culture and an expectation of working together across all departments for the good of the customer and the organisation. Our client is looking for someone who has a passion for helping customers, that has the desire to grow and learn and who enjoys being part of a winning team.

You will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring the needs of the customer are met through the product and service offered.
  • Preparing quotes, recording opportunities, and setting FU appointments.
  • Maintaining and developing a pipeline of opportunities at the customers.
  • Maintain consistent and accurate CRM records and reporting of activities.
  • Forensic follow up of quotes and opportunity.
  • Coordinating and arranging meetings, appointments online or onsite with customers if required.
  • Preparing hire/rental and service agreements for tools and equipment.
  • Raising RFQ’s/SQR’s/PSO’s and completing NPS forms.
  • Consistent monitoring of sales vs gaps reports, account performance against targets and history reports.
  • Checking back-order reports daily.
  • Creating & chasing CSTs through from start to completion.
  • Recording all inbound enquiries on New Leads Smartsheet.
  • Maintaining consistent and accurate CRM records and reporting of team activities.

Skills and Experience

                                                                                                                     

  • Team Player – The desire and ability to work for the good of the team.
  • Rapport building – A keen desire to talk on the phone and via other communication methods, able to quickly build rapport with our customers.
  • Product knowledge – A practical interest in the company range of products and how they can help the customer.
  • Industry knowledge – A keen interest in the activities of the prospect to enable an understanding of what opportunities exist for mutual benefit.
  • Previous experience and proven success in this role are valued assets although skills for this role can be further trained inhouse. Ongoing training and development are always encouraged.
  • A Level education or equivalent is preferred.
  • Two years of sales experience is required for this role.
