Aspen People are delighted to be working together with West College Scotland to appoint a new Interim Head of Finance.  We are looking for someone who can effectively manage the finance and procurement teams, assist the teaching and support departments in financial management reporting and ensure an efficient and cost-effective financial control function for the College.

Main duties:

• Preparation of statutory and management accounts
• Maintain strong financial controls
• Compilation and monitoring of budges
• Preparation of finance related reports.

Reporting to the Director of Finance & Estates you will be responsible for the Finance Manager, Principal Accountant and Procurement Manager.

We’re looking for someone who is a qualified accountant and is not only a strong team manager but a team player in that they can flex to support the wider team in financial management, when required. You will be an ambassador for the College, who can participate in departmental meetings and contribute towards being an effective member of the College’s Management Team while providing a high level of professionalism.
