I am seeking a Knitwear Garment Technologist based in Leicester!

My client is a Knitwear supplier based in Leicester, renowned for their innovative designs, quality craftsmanship, working with well known high street retailers and e-tailers.

Role Overview:
I am seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Knitwear Garment Technologist to join this dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the development and production of our knitwear collections, ensuring that all garments meet the highest standards of quality, fit, and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

* Collaborate with designers to translate creative concepts into technical specifications, ensuring feasibility and manufacturability.
* Develop detailed technical packs, including measurements, construction methods, and material specifications.
* Oversee the creation and approval of knitwear samples, ensuring they meet design and quality standards.
* Conduct fit sessions in house and alongside brands, provide feedback, and implement necessary adjustments to ensure the perfect fit and finish of garments.
* Address and resolve any technical issues that arise during the sampling and production phases.
* Work closely with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure adherence to technical specifications and quality standards.
* Implement and maintain rigorous quality control procedures throughout the production process.
* Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and innovations in knitwear to incorporate into our product development.
Qualifications:

Experience:
* Minimum of 2-4 years of experience as a Garment Technologist, preferably within the knitwear sector.
* Proficient in garment construction, pattern making, and technical specifications.
* Exceptional attention to detail and a keen eye for quality and fit.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with designers, suppliers, and manufacturers.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
* Deep understanding of knitwear production processes, materials, and machinery.
