• A great opportunity has become available for a Therapy Assistant, supporting children with social, emotional and mental health needs in a school in Summertown, Oxford.
• This is an excellent position to gain some hands on experience working directly with vulnerable students in the classroom.
• These young students struggle with trauma, anxiety, depression, autism, ADHD and various other developmental disorders.
• As a therapy assistant you will directly be involved in helping children manage and cope with their emotions and mental health whilst also being involved in their learning and development.
• These young people need someone who can facilitate a positive and safe environment for them to learn and grow. You will gain valuable experience in the sector and have the chance to shadow other professionals in the field.
• The role would suit someone who is resilient and confident in supporting young people with challenging mental health needs.

• Experience working with children in a school setting before would be beneficial but enthusiasm and a positive attitude is most important.
