As part of our continued growth strategy, we are now bringing manufacturing into the UK market with two facilities being put into operation at this moment. These factories will be providing a range of steel construction products including; metal cladding and metal roofing.

In order to make a difference to the UK market, not only are we offering the UK manufactured products but also our extensive range of products from mainland Europe. A key element for ArcelorMittal is to be transparent, honest and clear with the information that we give regarding our products in the UK market.

As part of our growth and aim plan to offer the best roofing and cladding systems in the UK market we are looking for a National Technical Manager to join our team and take the lead on technical aspects of our product range including, but not limited to; testing, technical support, documentation & certification, and building & overseeing a technical team.

The Role

• Create and manage technical documentation in relation to products and systems that are manufactured in both the UK and Europe, ensuring the information is accurate and up to date
• R&D for products and systems for the UK marketplace
• Work to keep all products updated with regards to PIM & BIM for the UK market
• Create and update CPD offering into the UK market
• Lead ArcelorMittal UK with regards to product testing and certification on both UK and European manufactured products
• Act as the lead technical support, offering expertise and advice to both internal staff and external clients in relation to ArcelorMittal’s offering into the UK market.
• Work with the Sales, Operations and Marketing teams on a daily basis, making sure ArcelorMittal UK offer accurate and honest information regarding our products to the market
• Work on product and system installation guides with the help of marketing
• At some point help the business built both an internal technical team and an external product/site support team

What you will need to offer; 

• A track record as a Technical Manager
• A track record in a National role
• An abilty for some European travel 
• An ability to work autonomously but with a European interface
• Knowledge of the product would be advantageous not essential

Package will be comensurate upon experience.
