What we are looking for:

We are seeking 5 x Teaching Assistants to work at an SEMH School in Wirral. This role is perfect for anyone who has recently completed a Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification but the school are also open to considering applicants with relevant experience working with children/young people. The school currently have 2 sites across KS2-KS4 and are due to open a new site in September 2024. This is the perfect opportunity to make a significant positive impact on young people’s lives and is a perfect first step or side step into a rewarding career in education.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist teachers in delivering engaging lessons.
  • Provide one-on-one support to pupils with SEN.
  • Deliver pre-planned intervention support to identified pupils outside the classroom.
  • Assist with classroom/behaviour management.
  • Liaise with other professionals to follow and adapt support plans as required.
  • Contribute to pupil assessment and monitoring and report any behaviour/safeguarding incidents.
  • Participate in extracurricular activities.

Qualifications/Skills Required:

Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant (Desirable)

Experience supporting pupils with SEMH

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Passion for working with vulnerable young people.

Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and staff.

Ability to use initiative and be pro-active.

Relevant experience or personal experience.

Passion for working with children and wanting to make a difference.
