Pay rate: £90.00 - £100.00 per day depending on experience

Active Recruitment are currently working with an Outstanding mainstream Secondary School in Dagenham who are looking for an experienced SEN Support Worker to join them in September 2024 on a long-term basis with the view to go permanent. As an SEN Support Worker you will play a key role in the development and well-being of individuals with special educational needs who would benefit from targeted 1:1 support.

Roles and responsibilities of the SEN Support Worker:

• Build positive relationships with pupils, promoting high self-esteem and independence
• Promote high standards of behavior, responding to incidents in line with the school’s behavior policy and guidelines on physical intervention
• Adapt communication style to respond to pupils according to their individual needs
• Assist with the development and delivery of individual education and support plans
• Support pupils with their social, emotional and mental health needs, escalating concerns where appropriate
