Your new company is a leading charity who have experienced a time of transformation and automation.


Your new role as Financial Controller you will be responsible for a small transactional team with responsibilities including :

  • Develop the tax, financial reporting and accounting strategies to maximise ability to deliver services on a long term sustainable basis.
  • Identify and develop strategies, alongside different levels of the organisation, to improve the overall tax efficiency
  • Establishing and be responsible for the financial governance framework to develop efficient and effective controls to run day to day operations
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with other "governance" experts, both internally and externally to ensure continuous improvement and compliance with External Reporting.
  • Expert in all matters of financial reporting and regulation, making sure that the right information is brought to the attention of the Board at the right time.
  • Accountable for the successful management of the annual report and accounts and all tax reporting.
  • Manage both short- and long-term cashflow into and out of the organisation, working with the Head of Finance and Planning to ensure that we remain within our financial reserves policy.
  • Manage and coach other Finance & Planning team members to enhance performance, learning and skills, enabling them to be the best that they can be.




What you'll need to succeed Qualified ACA/ ACCA / CIMA with significant post qualification experience you will enjoy the technical side of finance with extensive statutory and tax knowledge. Previous experience of managing a small finance team along with a highly collaborative approach to building relationships with both internal and external stakeholder is essential.
