Furniture Designer Permanent Full-Time

Salary - Circa £40,000 DOE
Location - In office, London

We're excited to be working with a furniture company that have over half a century of experience in cabinet making, joinery and refurbishment. They have an excellent in-house design team and manufacturing facility with experienced craftsman, offering bespoke fitted and free-standing high-end furniture.

They're now seeking a SolidWorks Furniture Designer to join their experienced design team, you will take Architects drawings and convert these into 3D technical models in SolidWorks, preparing production drawings for CNC manufacturing or joinery processes

Responsibilities, but are not limited to

• Design and development of initial customer drawings for client approvals, through to full manufacturing detailed drawings for CNC and workshop departments
• Liaise with key suppliers as part of sourcing and coordinating products, components, and materials as part of the order fulfilment
• Liaising with key departments of any updates and changes where necessary, whilst monitoring projects with the workshop teams regularly
• Maintain daily organisation of files and documents, both digital and hard copy
• Hands-on approach to all aspects of the role
• Implementation of good housekeeping
• Some site survey and internal project management with the workshops and procurement teams may be required

Experiences required

• Competent in using SolidWorks is essential
• Knowledge of SWOOD is advantageous
• Background in Furniture/Joinery/Cabinetry design is essential
• Able to create detailed technical drawings for manufacture is essential
