£30 - £35/hour + mileage

Welding Engineer / Inspector – 3 days a week long-term contract (outside IR35)

£35 per hour (outside IR35) + mileage + site-based + 3 day long-term working week + overtime + 12 month contract + immediate start

Welding Engineer / Inspector responsibilities include:

  • Provide independent inspection and quality control services relating to equipment in manufacture, fabrication, and construction.
  • Provide detailed reports following inspections & quality control.
  • Equipment includes pressure / piping equipment and other mechanical items manufactured and installed to conventional codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Review of fabrication / manufacturing documentation within delegated authority levels in terms of quality plans, ITP’s fabrication / manufacturing procedures, welding procedures, NDE procedures, compilation, and review of LTQRs.
  • Develop and maintain excellent relationships with both internal and external Customers.

Welding Engineer / Inspector profile:

  • An experienced Welding Inspector with min 10yrs background in the discipline, 5yrs of which include in inspections
  • Last 5yrs working & residing in the UK / previous or current SC clearance an advantage
  • C&G Cert / or equivalent experience in Fabrication & Welding and/or HNC/BTEC in Engineering discipline.
  • CSWIP 3.1/3.2
  • Happy to work 3 days a week onsite long-term, combining with other client projects you may have.
  • Sound understanding of Materials, Welding and NDE techniques.
  • Ability to work successfully in a team, providing guidance, support and training as and when necessary.
