HR Business Partner - Permanent, Canary Wharf

Hours: 40 per week, 08.30am - 17.30pm Monday to Friday

This role is fast-paced, supporting Ballymore Asset Management Limited (BAML).  To be successful, you must enjoy working in a collaborative and changing environment. The HR Business Partner will act as a change agent and be pivotal in driving forward the HR and Business Strategy to enable a step change in culture and performance. The HR Business Partner will provide support and guidance to business leaders, truly partnering the business to drive results and people capabilities.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Working in partnership with business leaders to ensure operational goals are achieved through effective people management and maximising workforce performance through proactive support and advice to line managers.
  • Implement and oversee effective performance management strategies to enhance individual and team productivity.
  • Support the HR Advisor in managing complex employee relations cases such as Performance Management, Absence Management, capability, grievance and disciplinary at any one time. 
  • Support the People Director with the review, design and implementation of Policies and Processes to ensure that they are fit for business purpose.
  • Assist in the development of HR initiatives and help drive their implementation across the business.
  • To support and deliver management with the necessary training and development needed in the people practice on delivering best practice.
  • Continually seek ways of improving procedures and workflows to maximise effectiveness of the People Function.

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience of operating as a true HR business Partner in a fast-paced environment, supporting multiple stakeholder groups.
  • Experience of working with complex ER cases. 
  • Thorough and up to date knowledge of UK employment legalisation and best practice.
  • Proven experience in change management, OD and workforce planning
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbally, with confidence to communicate with all stakeholders across the business.
  • An empathetic approach – this role partners our people, and we should put them at the forefront when working through people-related matters.
  • Experience working in fast-paced, agile and changing environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a passion for dealing with open-ended, even ambiguous challenges.
  • CIPD qualification
