1st/2nd Line Engineer

Up to £30,000 DOE

My client is seeking a skilled and motivated 1st/2nd Line Engineer to join their growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing first and second-line technical support, troubleshooting a variety of IT issues, and ensuring smooth IT operations for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide first and second-line technical support to end-users, resolving hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Respond to and manage helpdesk tickets in a timely manner, ensuring excellent customer service.
  • Assist with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of IT equipment and software.
  • Escalate complex issues to higher-level support or specialized teams when necessary.
  • Document issues, resolutions, and maintain accurate records of support activities.
  • Collaborate with team members to identify and implement improvements in processes and services.
  • Provide on-site support as needed.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a 1st/2nd line support role.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with network troubleshooting (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
