We are seeking an Engineering Manager to lead our engineering team in the design, development, and validation of aftermarket and remanufactured products. This role is pivotal in managing cross-functional projects and ensuring successful project completion by collaborating with key business stakeholders.
Day to Day of the Role:
- Lead multiple cross-functional projects from inception to completion, determining scope and objectives with internal stakeholders.
- Establish project performance goals, design project plans, develop timelines, identify milestones, and track performance.
- Resolve project issues, monitor and communicate project status, and manage project budget.
- Document and share team learnings and coach other Project Managers in managing teams.
- Lead aftermarket engineering functions, collaborate with sales, marketing, and product management to understand business and customer needs.
- Drive engineering activities to support product portfolio expansion and develop all-makes product solutions for the aftermarket customer base.
- Innovate to solve field issues and improve products, support manufacturing in new product process development, and remanufacturing yield improvement.
- Support purchasing in supply continuity, quality improvement, and cost position.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- College, University, or equivalent degree required.
- Significant level of relevant work experience in the automotive industry, with a preference for Commercial Vehicle or braking systems.
- Proven team leadership experience.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage complexity and conflict.
- Core engineering skills with a solid foundation in mechanical engineering.
- Experience in cross-functional design integration, systems design, and product reliability risk management.
- Financial acumen and business insight.
- Excellent communication skills and customer focus.
- Ability to manage project resources, schedules, scopes, issues, and risks effectively.
