About the role:

This position has become available due to our commitment to providing exceptional support to our students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). You will play a pivotal role in our dedicated SEN team, contributing to the individualised education plans and holistic development of our students.

Application Requirements:

• Experience: Previous experience working with students with ASD, familiarity with visual and gesture communication methods preferred.

• Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, patience, and a proactive approach to supporting diverse learning needs.

• Team Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and parents to create cohesive support plans that address the holistic needs of students with ASD, promoting consistency and continuity in their educational journey.

• Adaptability and Flexibility: Demonstrated ability to adapt teaching strategies and support techniques based on the individual needs and learning styles of students with ASD, fostering an inclusive and responsive classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide tailored support to students with ASD, assisting in their academic and social development.

• Collaborate with teachers and SENCO to implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior management strategies.

• Foster a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment where every student feels valued and supported.

• Regularly monitor and record student progress and behavior, maintaining accurate records.
