Our client is one of the largest facilities management and maintenance contractors in the UK, offering market leading opportunities for talented professionals looking for long term career progression.

Due to an increase in upcoming projects, there is now a need for an Maintenance and Facilities Manager to join this highly successful and forward-thinking organisation.

We are looking for an Maintenance and Facilities Manager who wants to work in a diverse role where no two days are the same.

As the Maintenance and Facilities Manager, you will provide the delivery of both planned and reactive FM maintenance services.

The Maintenance and Facilities Manager, will be responsible for:

  • Collaborating with a diverse team of skilled professionals, including Plumbers, Electricians, Carpenters, Painters, Cleaners, and Administrators.
  • Carrying out and monitor the effectiveness of planned preventative maintenance schedules.
  • Servicing and the systematic checking of all areas, services, systems, fixtures and fittings against pre-set criteria.
  • Maintaining accurate records of all checks and any work undertaken.
  • Ensuring that the database is maintained and all works and projects are processed through the software solution.
  • Ensuring that the Technical Store contains all spares necessary to minimise downtime.

To be successful for this Maintenance and Facilities Manager role you must have:

  • Minimum of five years' experience, preferably within a Facilities Management (FM) environment or similar sectors such as military or healthcare.
  • Qualified plumber holding certifications such as C&G 6035 (Plumbing), C&G 6189 (Plumbing & Heating), and NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing, or equivalent.
  • Proficient in working on commercial or industrial heating, water, or building service systems.
  • Familiarity with Water Supply Regulation and Control of Legionella L8 requirements.
  • Sound understanding of Health & Safety protocols.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of risk and compliance, coupled with demonstrable planning and project management abilities.
