Building Control Surveyor

Our client, a prominent player within the Building Control sector, is currently seeking a Building Control Surveyor to join their dedicated team in Hampshire. This is a permanent role aimed at providing expert oversight and control of building projects, primarily residential, in North Hampshire in the Surrounding areas of Andover. There is also potential for someone to come in and cover projects between Portsmouth and Southampton.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing and ensuring compliance for building projects, with a focus on residential sites
- Conducting inspections and providing technical advice on building control matters
- Ensuring projects meet all relevant regulations and standards
- Collaborating with builders, developers, and other stakeholders to promote safe construction practices
- Reviewing and approving building plans and specifications
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation of inspections and compliance assessments
- Providing guidance on complex building control issues
- Potential to increase registration from 2A/B to 2D, under guidance and supporting professional development
Job Requirements:
- Experience in building control, with significant exposure to residential projects
- Resgistered at minimum 2A.
- Strong understanding of relevant building regulations and standards
- Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to continuous professional development and improvement
- Proximity to or willingness to cover the Hampshire region, focusing on areas between Southampton and Bournemouth
