Our client, a growing industrial firm based in Attleborough, are looking to recruit a dynamic Accountant to join their team. 

Reporting into the Finance Director, you will be a key contributor in Financial Reporting, analysis and budgeting. You will have a keen eye for detail and a proactive problem solver. Previous experience of using Sage 200 would be beneficial.

The Accountant will be responsible for but not limited to: 

• Monitor and reconcile general ledger accounts.
• Maintain monthly prepayments and accrual schedules.
• Collaborate in the preparation of cashflow forecasts.
• Oversee stock control processes, ensuring accurate processing of issues and allocations.
• Perform intercompany reconciliations.
• Handle sales ledger billing, sales order processing, and quarterly VAT returns.
• Collaborate with the Finance Director to conduct variance analyses, comparing actual performance against budgeted figures and providing valuable insights.
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes by gathering pertinent data, inputting information into financial models, and aiding in the creation of budget reports.
• Contribute to expense allocations, ensuring alignment with budgetary guidelines.
• Analyse financial trends, identify discrepancies, and suggest corrective actions to enhance cost efficiency and profitability.
• Assist in developing financial models, conducting scenario analyses, and crafting business cases to evaluate potential projects and investments.
• Aid in coordinating external audits by preparing necessary documentation and supporting auditors during the process.
