Job Title: Air Freight Operations Clerk

Salary: £30k-£35k per annum

Responsibilities:

As an Air Freight Operations Clerk, you will play a vital role in the successful execution of air freight procedures. Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing agents and direct customer communication throughout the shipment process.
• Coordinating shipments by air, road, and sea, ensuring compliance with regulations.
• Making export airline bookings and tracking shipments to provide timely updates.
• Generating customer invoices and processing creditor invoices promptly.
• Collection and delivery of freight as required.
• Assisting with various tasks including packing, documentation, driving, and warehousing.

Required:

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Airfreight Operations with a Freight Forwarder.
• Knowledge of Dangerous Goods (DG) regulations and accreditation would be advantageous.
• Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, and Gmail.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a team environment.

Preferred:

The following are desired qualities that would be beneficial for this role:

• IATA Certification for dangerous goods transportation by air.
• Hazmat experience.
